The Elf of The Rose is a story by Hans Christian Andersen about a girl who falls in love with an elf. The elf is from the rose, and he has been watching over the girl since she was born. He is in love with her, and he wants to protect her. However, the girl is afraid of him because she doesn't understand what he is. Eventually, she comes to understand that the elf is trying to help her, and she falls in love with him too.
